Merry Christmas Eve from the Stewart Holland's!

Christmas Eve and we are well into the spirit. Baker Street got their annual delivery of sugar cookies, Serene as Santa, Brianna as Rudolph, and Chris as crazy snowman. Plenty of sugar and good wishes were distributed, with smiles abounding. We really are grateful to be living in such a beautiful community, filled with beautiful people.

Next is dinner with good friends, and then fingers crossed that Santa will come (or that Serene will stay awake through the tremendous amount of unpacking and setting up prezzies!).

Loads of love to all and sundry, and to all a good night!

Happy Holidays Everyone!

We are two days away from Christmas and Brianna is very excited about it. Grandma created a beautiful quilted advent calendar and every year will fill it with chocolate gold coins, so Brianna has a sweet reminder of when Santa arrives.

The local community paper editor took this picture of Brianna and Chloe on Santa’s lap, people have commented about what she is saying. Well, her Dad had a new job this year, not taking care of the reindeer in the forest (wink, wink) but was promoted to Santa escort, and when Santa knew Brianna’s name without asking…He must be real. This wonderful interaction with Santa was then followed up by an email from him. Check out what he said to Brianna, also you can get him to talk to your kids, just follow this link - Santa’s Portable North Pole console

This has been a wonderful season and our family has enjoyed every moment of it. We hope during this time of year that you are finding love with the special people around you.

We wish you a Very Merry Christmas and a happy new year!

Christmas 2009 The Gingerbread Man

Brianna was featured in her first Christmas school play, she played the role of a singing tree and shared every moment with her family, from practicing, to dress rehersal, to the big momement.

This time armed with a hand held camera Dad video taped the entire show, but instead of having everyone sit through this fantastic production, I created a music video to Bobby Shermans Gingerbread Man, which was the theme of the show.

Holiday Train 2009

This year the Holiday Train showed up in style with more decorated cars than before and the Odds with Shaun Verreault of Wide Mouth Mason. Those of you that now Dad’s history know that he worked with Doug and Craig of the Odds during the Roxy days, Dad did get a chance to say Hi to Craig, and he would like the Odds to come to Nelson some day.

When the holiday train showed up the first Christmas snow just started to fall and when we drove down to the park the train passed right in front of the car, it was a spectacular site. The photo of it does not do it justice, but is does show how close we were to the train.

Thank you to CP Rail for making this magic happen and please come again soon. I’ve created a video of our experience but I used the music of Chuck Berry as I couldn’t find the Odds version of Run Run Rudolf.

Enjoy!

Christmas 2009

It's that time of year again, time to put up the tree, decorate the house and go greet Santa on Baker Street. This year the BASH family had a grand time getting ready with a special tree decorating and welcome wishes for Santa.

Brianna then commenced the annual Gingerbread house decorating with her friend Chloe, this year's theme - get all of the candy onto the house - then eat it!

Brianna was given the Magical Duty of helping light up the trees on Baker Street, with the help of Santa high above in the firetruck bucket. Chloe and Brianna were treated to a visit with Santa, while songs were sung and the smell of popcorn warmed the Trading Centre, welcoming the Season.

We will keep you updated on the developments of the season, Friday December 11th is Christmas on Baker with music, a live Nativity, petting zoo and a donkey, then the Holiday Train is due in town Sunday December 13th with the Odds.

We wish you and your family the very best this holiday season and will keep updating as things happen.

Have a Safe, Peaceful and Happy Holidays!
